by the prick of my thumb, something wicked this way comes. ohhh i really like this movie. it’s a disney movie… but not too typical disney movie. yes, the message of good versus evil (with good winning) is there. yes, it has cheesy moments. but does it have gore? one scene, but yes. does it have an interesting group of evil carnival people (aka autumn people)? yes. is there a happy ending? duh people it’s disney, of course it has a happy ending. oh and don’t forget that three o’clock is the soul’s midnight…

oh and if tarantulas give you the willies like they do me, be aware that spiders make several appearances in this movie.

since we got tooons of apples the other day i’ve been trying to make various, delicious, appley goodness treats. i made caramel apples this time. let me tell you, they’re easy as cake. buy one package individually wrapped caramels and have some milk, cinnamon, and vanilla extract on hand. depending on how many apples you are making, you may or may not end up using the whole bag of caramels (or eating half and using half like i did). i melted and combined a dash of above’s listed ingredients over low heat; you don’t want the caramel to heat up too quickly or cool too quickly. while everything is melting into caramely goodness, pop a few extra of caramel pieces into your mouth, insert popsicle/tree branches/whatever you want to be the handle of your caramel apple into the apple(s). once mixture is melted, twirl apples in caramel until they are completely covered. roll in mixed nuts or sprinkles and set on wax paper to cool. prepare yourself for awesomeness.

oh and i also found a really cute gift/party favor idea via oh happy day. go here, believe me, it’s a really cool idea.
ok gotta run off and catch some sleep, i’m in the middle of what seems like the longest stretch of work evvvvveerrrr (but not really).
xoxo,
-let them eat kate
