we’re back in nyc, and it feels fantastic. dc, i love you for many reasons but you will never hold a torch to nyc. while here, we’ve…
-visited the met. mainly to see the exhibit “punk”, it was phenomenal!
-gone shopping
-eaten halal food… so yummy
-had an amazing breakfast on grand st.
-walked & walked & walked
chris is currently at a hardcore reunion show. i’ve been exploring a bit on my own. not too far outside my normal comfort zone. this trip so far has been tons of fun and i’m not looking forward to our trip home tomorrow. i haven’t taken many photos with my phone this time because believe it or not i brought a 35 mm camera!!! hoping the film turns out nicely.

i never thought i’d be the type of person to say this but lately i’ve been dabbling in the world of juicing! not so much to loose weight or to go on a cleanse but to just try and be healthier. i haven’t gotten too adventurous with what i’ve been making but the fact that everytime i do make a juice of some sorts includes shots of wheatgrass i must say, i am pretty proud of myself! namely the juice i’ve been making was one that was forwarded in an email via a friend. it’s original recipe source is allegedly dr. oz but who knows? it’s actually surprisingly yummy and tastes very similar to odawalla’s super food but a fraction of the price! the recipe is as follows:
8oz coconut water
1 apple
juice of 1 lemon
1 tbsp fresh grated ginger
handful of frozen pineapple chunks
2-3 cubes frozen wheatgrass
at least 3 large handfuls of spinach (put this in last & fill to top of blender)
blend all ingredients finished result should be a “glowing” green not too minty!
what are some of your favorite juice recipes?
